Skilled Migrant Immigration
Leaving your country to settle in New Zealand will be one of the biggest decisions you will make. We understand that. But you're not alone. There is a range of options available for people wishing to migrate to this country, from short term to full residential status. Skilled Migrant option is particular suited for optometrists, dispensing opticians and their families wanting to emigrate and achieve New Zealand residency. This option will provide NZ residency before you leave home.
To qualify you must meet the following criteria:
- You are under 56 years of age.
- You have been offered a job with a Visique practice in New Zealand?
- You have achieved NZ Optometrists and Dispensing Opticians Board occupational registration.
- You have at least two years work experience.
To check your eligibility proceed to the NZ Immigration website www.immigration.govt.nz and use the Skilled Migrant Category Points indicator to calculate your points. Each fortnight a point's pass mark is announced. If you score at or above the pass mark, your application will be processed and an immigration officer assigned to you.
